Psst is a Melbourne web studio for small businesses. We build your website properly, keep it running, and you keep it up to date by sending a message.

Why we started

Most small businesses don’t need another tool. They need a website that tells the truth: today’s hours, this week’s specials, the menu that’s actually on the counter.

Every option on offer assumes the owner has a spare hour at a desk and a password they remember. Most don’t. So we built the opposite: a website you never have to log in to.

What we stand by

  • Yours, always. Your domain, email, words and photos belong to you. If you ever leave, everything goes with you.
  • Nothing changes without you. Every change is previewed first and only goes live when you say so. One word undoes it.
  • Accessible by default. Every site is built to WCAG 2.2 AA, so everyone can read your hours – including people using a screen reader, or a phone in bright sun.
  • A person, not a ticket queue. Bigger changes are handled by someone who knows your business, within one business day.

    Fast, accessible, easy to find on Google, and designed for phones first – because that’s where your customers are.

  3. We launch it with you

    We connect your domain, pair your phone, and you make your first change by text before we leave.

  4. We look after it

    Hosting, security and backups are on us. You text the small things; we handle the big ones.

The experience behind it

Psst is built on years of experience making accessible, fast websites and design systems for large organisations. That same standard now goes into every small-business site we make.

Psst is Swedish-founded and made in Melbourne. Like a lot of Swedish design, it aims to be simple and useful, with nothing you have to think about. And yes, it understands texts in Swedish too.

We meet you in person wherever we can, and work with small businesses across Australia.
